Today’s blog post is a little bit more of a chit-chat, a heart to heart if you will, about how to make the most out of the crazy times we are in. I am definitely not a doctor, but these are some tips that have helped me personally maintain a more positive outlook.
Reframe Your Brain
It is so easy to get caught up in the negatives rather than making a deliberate effort to focus on the positives in your life. Think about it, what are three things you are thankful for today? Write them down or say them in your head, and reframe your thoughts to count your blessings rather than focus on the bad.
By recognizing three positives in your life each day, you will realize there is always light in your life.
Remember, We Will Be Back To Normal Soon
Yes, this a unique chapter in our lives; however, we will overcome it and tell the story to our children, who will tell their grandchildren, about this crazy period of lockdowns and toilet paper shortages.
Good or bad, nothing can last forever.
All The Feels Are Okay
Feel the feels! It is SUPER normal to feel sad, betrayed, and disappointed in what 2020 has brought to the table. Allow for all the self-loathing you need, but try to snap out of it as quick as possible. You can totally feel all the negative emotions you need to, but do not focus on them to the point that they ruin your day.
You’ll feel better when you are not throwing yourself a pity party.
I hope that these quick little tips help you to have a little bit more of a positive outlook. It is completely normal to have bad days, and NO ONE can be positive 100% of the time. If you are feeling so terrible you cannot bare it, PLEASE reach out to someone. The first step of asking for help is always worth it, and you’re worth it too.
Stay Smiling,
Ainsley Mo
Wonderful Blog, Ainsley! It was full of great wisdom . . . something we all so desperately need in these “2020” days. You are an “old soul” in a beautiful and young girl. Wise beyond your years, my Ainsley.
